Mrs. Collins has sought to inspire students about the wonders of chemistry
since she graduated from Rhode Island College with her Bachelor's Degree in
Chemistry with Secondary Education Certification. A lifelong learner, she also
earned her Master's Degree in Secondary Science Education from Rhode Island
College and has continued to remain current in chemical education
through many professional development associations including the New England
Association of Chemistry Teachers and the American Chemical Society. Mrs. Collins has taught many levels of chemistry to a wide variety of Rhode Island students at Coventry High School, Rhode Island College, Scituate High School and Lincoln High School where she currently teaches her students the value of hard work, self-discipline and
perseverance as their skills and knowledge in chemistry develop. She lives in Smithfield with her husband Jeff and her three boys, Alex, Zach and Nick.
